About Our Classes

Our classes are group lessons running year round and are sold in single and multiple sessions for each class. You may work on any project of your choice, however, we do require that materials for your basic classes be purchased from our store to receive the price indicated below. Advanced classes may use yarn from your stash.

We also provide one complimentary basic lesson with purchase of supplies to complete a basic project. We offer this so you so you may have a little insight into knitting or crocheting. We guarantee you will like what you see and want expand your learning with one of our group or private classes!

We also offer fun project classes! Holiday knitting, felted bunnies, square of the month -- these are just a few of our special classes offered throughout the year. Call us or see our Monthly Calendar of Events (in the left sidebar) for the schedule of these special classes.

NEEDLEPOINT CLASSES

52 Weeks of Needlepoint Stitches
Each 1 hour class includes your stitch guide, canvas and sample thread for each stitch or technique. Needles not included. This series takes you from the very basic to extremely advanced. This is a great way to learn new stitches and techniques to embellish your canvases. Reservations are required. Classes at 10am, 11:30am and 2pm on days offered, as well as every 3rd Tuesday of each month. Private and group classes available. $15.00/hour class.

KNITTING CLASSES

52 Weeks of Squares (Knit and/or Crochet)
Each 1 hour class includes your pattern for a square or highlighted stitches. You can use your stash to complete your square or receive a 20% discount on new yarn for your square. Needles not included. This series takes you from the very basic to extremely advanced. You need not attend every class -- pick and choose the ones that interest you most! This is a great way to learn new stitches and techniques. Don't feel you have time for a class? Each square pattern is $6.00, which includes both a written and graphed version of the pattern. Classes are available at 9am, noon, and 5pm on days offered. Private and group classes available. $15.00/hour class.

Knitting Basics 101
Learn the right way from the beginning. The goal of your first session is to be able to cast on and knit a basic wash cloth or scarf. Private and Group Classes available with reservation.
PRIVATE LESSONS -$20.00/hour.
GROUP CLASSES –Each session for $10.00 with purchase of supplies. Day and evening group are scheduled monthly. Reservations are required. Call for schedule or see Monthly Calendar.

If you drop by and want to get started, we provide a complimentary lesson with purchase of the Learn to Knit Kit. You may also purchase our How to Knit Kit for $45.00 which comes with booklet, needles, yarn, 1 hour session and 2 follow up sessions.

Knitting Intermediate 201
If you can knit and purl in the same row, have knitted in the past and ready for a refresher, or are ready to start a project with patterns, this is your session! Continue to improve your skills with special guidance. The goal of your first session is to be able to follow a pattern, gauge your project, and troubleshoot. Each person is able to work on a different project. Private and Group Classes available with reservation.
PRIVATE LESSONS -$20.00/hour.
GROUP CLASSES –Each session for $15.00 per session Day and evening group are schedule monthly. Reservations are required. Call for schedule or see Monthly Calendar.

Knitting Socks Basics 101
Have you tried to knit socks with little success reading instructions? Save time and mistakes when you learn knitting socks with a professional teacher. The class series consists of 4 lessons. Sock Class tuition is $60.00 and includes your needles, booklet and yarn for your 1st pair of socks. You will appreciate this investment! Basic skills required for this class is to be able to knit and purl without complications in the same row. We keep our classes small: minimum 1 and maximum 5 per class.

Knitting Socks Advanced 201
Have you knitted your 1st pair and are ready to try new methods of sock knitting? This Sock class is per session at 15.00 per session. Toe Up, Cuff down, Circular Needle, Two on 1. We keep our classes small: minimum 1 and maximum 4 per class.

CROCHET CLASSES

GROUP SESSIONS - Wednesdays Hourly from 10:30-1:30.
PRIVATE LESSONS -$25.00/hour.

Your group class tuition also provides you 3 additional sessions of complimentary assistance with projects. Private and Group Classes available with reservation.

THE ANSWER LADIES

Are you stressed and need help completing a project in crochet or knitting? Come and let an “Answer Lady” get you back on track. You will go away relaxed when you have help to figure it all out. Complimentary if your project purchased from Wellslee’s All Strung Out. If you feel your project requires longer sessions, we will gladly set an appointment for additional time at a small sitting fee.

JEWELRY CLASSES

Private and Group Classes available with reservation. Group Sessions Each class consists of 1 sessions for $25.00 includes supplies. Day and evening group classes rotate weekly. Reservations required. Call for schedule or see Monthly Calendar.
